Back and neck pain has been an unbearable issue for so many and continues to be so.
Some of you may know that I continue to campaign strongly against those who exploit back and neck pain sufferers, especially when the sufferers are desperate.
An issue that bothers me enormously is the issue of treatment contracts. If you are unfamiliar with this term, it is when doctors or therapists use fear and pressure to persuade people to part with substantial amounts of money, up front, for services yet to be performed, in the hope that they will be better at the end of the contract (the contract usually lasts for six or twelve months).
I speak to and hear about many who finish the contract and are no better, sometimes are worse and often do not finish the contract at all because of increased pain or an absence of any signs of progress. Of course, the doctor keeps the money and the sufferer departs in pain and out of pocket!
